PRINCIPAL
POSITION SUMMARY
A Principal at 8th Street Academy would serve as the educational and spiritual leader of our Preschool – 8th Grade faculty, staff, students, and families. This role requires a strong commitment to Christian education, a heart for mentorship, and a vision for academic excellence in a faith-based environment. The principal will lead with integrity, foster a culture of collaboration, and ensure that students receive a Christ-centered education that prepares them for lifelong success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide spiritual and educational leadership to faculty, staff, and students.
Support and develop teachers in instructional strategies, curriculum, and student growth
Foster a positive and collaborative school culture that aligns with the school’s mission and values.
Engage with students, parents, and the greater community to build relationships based on trust and respect.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including staffing, budgeting, safety, and security.
Work closely with the department staff and administration team to support continuity across all grade levels.
Spiritual Responsibilities
Profess and model Christian faith, adhering to the school’s Statement of Faith.
Regularly attend a Bible-believing church and uphold Christian values in and out of school.
Serve as a role model for students and staff in faith and character.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A committed, mature Christian leader actively involved in their local church.
Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Supervision, or equivalent.
Minimum of three years of educational administration experience. (preferred)
Teaching and/or administrative experience in elementary or middle school.
Christian school administration experience is preferred but not required.
Strong ability to mentor, lead teams, and foster professional growth.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff, and families.
